I really should learn to take my own advice...but I’m a New Yorker, born and bred, so kicking back and going with the flow isn't exactly my strong suit, though I'm learning. One thing I did find early on as a writer, is that you should always write what you know, and for that reason my stories and my characters embody the grit and complexity of the city I love. I'm also an avid traveler, so I use my experiences from around the world in all my books. There isn’t a place my characters live or travel to that I haven’t been myself.
The Cursed by Blood Series is growing! Book four, THE LION'S DEN has been released in eBook and Paperback, and the first of the Cursed by Blood Novellas featuring an in-between glimpse into the lives of the series characters has also been launched with the release of NIGHT PLAY...
The Cursed by Blood saga is set on the east coast of the United States, taking you from the rocky coast of Maine to the heart of New York City, the N.Y.P.D. and the complex world of the Weres and the vampire underground. Revenge and the struggle for power all play a part in this urban fantasy suspense, where rival supes are forced to work together to solve the mystery of what’s tearing their veiled world apart from the inside out. The story continues, taking you from modern day New York City to the Costa del la Luz in Spain, to foggy London and the romance of Rome. It also takes you back in time 300 years to a place rife with conflict and brutality, bringing an historical edge to my vampires and their lives, a love that spans the centuries and the search for absolution and redemption that carries death in its wake. In books four an five, the saga delves further into just how enmeshed this hidden world is with our own, taking the reader into the mountains of northern California and the the isolated world of the Cougars...the secretive ghost walkers of the supernatural world!
The Legend Series is also expanding with the release date set for September 2014 for TIME TURNER, book two in the series and the sequel to the award winning TEEN/YA novel, HOLLOW'S END! The story takes the reader along with Rowen and Hunter as the fates continue to play with our characters and thrust them back in time to colonial time in the days just before the burning of the Tarrytowns and the events that set the Legend of Sleepy Hollow in motion...

What inspired the idea for the story?
The book was inspired by the true events that occurred in the hamlet of Sleepy Hollow during the time of the Revolutionary War. Washington Irving wrote a wonderful legend, but it was truly complete work of fiction...a true tall tale.
Who would play your Hero and Heroine in a movie? I think that Zane from the band One Direction would be a possibility for my hero, Hunter Morrissey. He’s young and tall and has a lean athletic build… exactly what I envisioned when writing the character. For my heroine, Rowan Corbett...hmmm...I'm not sure. Perhaps my readers could give me a few suggestions.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Hollow’s End...a tale of lies and true evil, and a love that took centuries to right a wrong that never should have been.
Will your book be self-published or traditional? Hollow’s End will be published by Coventry Press Ltd.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? It took three months to get the bare bones of the story outlined and roughly written, and then three more to flesh it out, then almost a year to complete the research and finish writing. It's a process...
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Hmmm. I’m not really sure. This book is historical, yet it's got both horror as well as paranormal elements in it too...and let’s not forget about the romance!
Who or What inspired you to write this book? I wanted to set the record straight. Plus, I grew up in the Hudson Valley not far from Sleepy Hollow, and more importantly, my husband's family is actually from Sleepy Hollow.
What else might pique the reader’s interest? That it’s inspired by true historic events....
